Neighborhood Belties

Belted Galloways Grazing On The Skyline
One of our neighbors has a herd of Belted Galloway cattle, aka "Oreo Cookie Cows".   They were grazing on top of the hill and looked very striking from a distance.  His well kept, manicured farm starts just on the other side of the line of white fencing.  The horse pastures in the foreground need a bit of tlc and some lime, but the color made for a nice fall scene ...

I live in Stahlstown which is about eight miles from Ligonier. There's a farm along Rt 711 heading towards Ligonier which has these Dutch belties. Such pretty cows. By the way, since I've only found your website today, do you have an Etsy shop where you sell your wool?

Glad that you found the blog! I will be selling next spring at the Waynesburg Sheep & Fiber Fest - May 16 & 17 - just off of I79 at the Greene County Fairgrounds. If you knit, spin, felt, or crochet it's a great festival! I do have combed top for sale & I'm working on fleeeces now to have them made into yarn.
