Our Newest Helper

We have a new little helper on the retaining wall  ..... our biggest chore is making sure that he doesn't get pancaked into the project.  He is proudly showing off the muddy pinecone that he found while he was digging ....... and yes, that is a pinecone!

Adorable! Love the ears!

Do the ears touch the tip of the nose??? That's my test for a true coonhound! :)

HEy cousin - he's cute. Does the new helper have a name yet?

My shepards always loved pine cones. We'd play catch until they started shredding, then they'd be a chew toy until they looked like feathers. Only problem was they always wanted to bring the pine cones into the house, which was a no-no.

Frank or Frankie ... he has "Jesse James" in his background, so searching for a registered name to fit in with that, we came up with his brother, Frank James. It doesn't rhyme with the name of any other coonhound in the kennel ... a plus when you're calling a dog!
